Combined Freeride & Ski Touring course "Secret Places"

Off piste ski touring course with video-instruction

The combination of Freeriding and Ski touring is without doubt one of the best mountain sports disciplines. Freeride skis and skins will take you to places you would normally not easily reach.

During this varied week you will get used to skiing off piste and to ski touring. After a few piste descents as a warming up in Vallorcine/Le Tour or Les Marécottes, we step off the piste and work hard to improve our technique in unprepared terrain with the help of video instruction.

In the second half of the week we take our skis with skins and start right in front of the Bekker chalet in Finhaut, for a trip to the high alpine area right above, for example to the Bel Oiseau (2628m) or the Col de Fenestral (2451m). An unforgettable experience because of the view of Mont Blanc that is nowhere as spectacular as here. The stunning off piste descent almost leads us to our front door! Another possibility is to spend the night in a mountain hut elsewhere.

Price includes	6 days HB (Sunday night up to and including Saturday morning), 5 days guidance by UIAGM-guides, the use of avalanche materials (transceiver, probes and shovels), welcome drink. Price does not include lift pass (day-pass, not needed every day), transfers and ski hire.

This program is especially made for good piste skiers who would like to learn ski touring in a relaxed atmosphere, away from mass tourism.

You will stay in the Bekker chalet in Swiss Finhaut, close to Chamonix and the nearest ski area of Vallorcine (only 12 minutes by car). Finhaut is easily accessible by public transport. And the train takes you in 13 minutes to Les Marécottes with fantastic freeride and touring possibilities. The chalet is equipped with a sauna, free internet access (WiFi), TV, open fire place and kitchen. You will sleep in comfortable 2 - 4 bedrooms and possibly a night in a mountain hut.
