At the foot of the huge Italian Monte Rosa massif you can still find some unknown ski resorts between 1200 and 3550 m altitude and with great off piste opportunities. We start in the small town of st-Jacques in a nice hotel. From here the slopes of Frachey are not far. In winter this is the place for true powder fanatics. The steep and more difficult descents of the Monte Rosa ski area can be found in and around Alagna and Gresoney, which both can be reached on skis. Super ski from St-Jacques - Champoluc (I) - NEW
Freeride Safari 'Powderhound'
On the hunt for the best snow in the Alps
Real powderhunters will come into their own during this new ski safari. The concept is simple: base station and starting point is the centrally located new Bekker Chalet at the Swiss-French border, not far from the airport of Geneva and the motorway from Basel. Good snow can always be found in this area, but we want more, so after a free skiing day in Chamonix to get our legs ready, we take the 4-wheel minivan and follow the snow where it is best!

The small village of Andermatt, located at an altitude of 1444 meter in central Switzerland, lies in an area known for its guaranteed snow, with snow coming in from all 4 wind-directions. Andermatt does not have to prove itself; it is the ideal freeride destination. So how could we make it even more attractive? That was simple: we added Disentis and voilà!
