Easter Weekend Special: Off piste and heli skiing where the snow is best

The Val de Trient is situated like a no man's land between Switzerland and France, closed in by the Col de Forclaz at one side and the Col des Montets on the other side. Over a century ago, the mountain villages of Finhaut and Giétroz were well appreciated by rich West Europeans because of the stunning views on Mont Blanc and the Glacier du Trient. After mass tourism was developed, the villages were somewhat forgotten, and it was only recently that they were rediscovered, though still hardly known. Edward Bekker explored the area, especially for you.

No wonder this valley is the ideal starting point for a ski safari right through the 'Espace Mont Blanc' - ski stations with a view of Mont Blanc: the point of departure of the heliski is right in front of the door; unlimited touring possibilities of the area around Lac d'Emosson start in the backyard; and it is just 15 minutes by train to the skiing and touring area of les Marécottes and French Vallorcine-Le Tour.

The week will be a cocktail of secret places in the ‘Espace Mont Blanc’. Verbier- les 4 Vallées, Super St. Bernard, les Marécottes, Champex, Ovronnaz, Vallorcine - Le Tour… your guide will find the best places with the best snow. And if the snow is better elsewhere, then you go elsewhere. Verbier and Zermatt are possible places, as is a night in a mountain hut. It will be a weekend full of variety for adventurous off piste skiers, looking for new experiences!

You will be staying in our homely chalet in Finhaut with sauna, open fire place and free internet access (WiFi). You will be sleeping in comfortable 2-4 bedrooms.
