YOUR BOOKING AT EDWARD BEKKER SKI & ALPINISME

Download the reservation form and liability waiver and print both of them. Is you computer not equipped with Acrobat Reader? Download the software for free by clicking the button "get Acrobat reader".

Read carefully our liability waiver and the "booking and cancellation policies" at the bottom of this page. Fill out the reservation form and sign the liability waiver. Per booking you can subscribe with maximum 4 persons. Each of the participants is required to sign a liability waiver.

Settle a first payment by bank transfer or personal cheque of minimum € 175,- (in case of a private guiding or expeditions abroad 30% of the sum due). You will receive from us a.s.a.p by e-mail your confirmation, accompanied by the detailed travel information, equipmentlists and invoice.

TRAVEL AND CANCELLATION POLICIES

RESERVATION
*	Send or fax the reservation form to our office in Giétroz , Switzerland and
*	Settle the first payment to IBAN NL25 RABO 01548 25 670 (accountnr. 15.48.25.670, RABO-bank Centraal Plateau Limburg, SWIFT/BIC RABONL2U)
Your booking is confirmed after reception of the filled-in reservation form and the first payment, which is due within 10 days after reception of the reservation form. In case the amount is not received, Edward Bekker Ski & Alpinisme reserves the right to book someone else.

PAYMENT
Payment is done in two parts:

1.First settlement
a) trips within Europe 175,00 € p.p.
b) for expeditions, private guiding and journeys outside Europe 30% of the catalogue price of the trip.

2.Oustanding amount
a) For trips within Europe, settlement needs to be done at the latest 6 weeks before start of the trip.
b) for expeditions and journeys outside Europe: settlement needs to be done at the latest 2 months before departure date
Reservations are taken in order of reception. In case a journey is already fully booked on the day the reservation is done, we will get in touch with you.

When the group is complete, you will receive the names of the other participants, the invitation for the briefing with your guides and travel indications.

In case the total  amount is not due on the departure date, Edward Bekker Ski & Alpinisme reserves the right to refuse the participant! 
CONFIRMATION / INVOICE
After reservation and settlement of your first payment, you will receive a confirmation / invoice, mentioning
a)	The price of the trip / journey
b)	Administration costs (15,00 € per booking).
c)	Possible  supplement (e.g. airport taxes, skipasses)
d)	The outstanding amount to be settled

CANCELLATION BY THE PARTICIPANT
Cancellation by one of the participants can only be done in written. De reception date at one of our office of the cancellation is considered as cancellation date.  In case of cancellation, the participant is due:
-	until 56 days prior to departure; the amount of the first settlement.
-	after the 56th day (incl.) until the 28th day prior to departure: 60% of the total amount due
-	after the 28th day (incl.) until the 14th day prior to departure: 85% of the total amount due
-	after the 14th day (incl.) prior to departure the total amount due.

For trips / journeys organised by third parties and expeditions and journeys outside Europe, other terms and conditions may be applicable. 
In case a participant decides to quit the journey earlier or decides to not participate, no restitutions will be made and extra charges will be charged to the participant,

INSURANCES
Insurance covering cancellation
We strongly recommend you to have an insurance covering cancellation.

Travelinsurance
A travelinsurance covering mountaineering and/or alpine activities is compulsory. This obligation is in order to protect our participants to important costs of rescue, transport and medical aid in mountain areas.

CHANGES AFTER BOOKING
In case you decide to change your booking, € 50,- administration costs will be charged. Changes within 6 weeks prior to departure date may be higher.

PROGRAMME- AND CHANGES IN PRICE
All programs and prices are under reserve. Edward Bekker Ski & Alpinisme reserves the right to cancel or change the itinerary of a trip / journey in case there are important reasons to like: 
NOT ENOUGH PARTICIPANTS
All activities are based upon a certain number of participants, mentioned in our brochure. In case the minimum number of participants is not achieved, we will get in touch with you in time. 
In case the number of participants is to small, Edward Bekker Ski & Alpinisme reserves the right to cancel the trip / journey.  You will be informed at the latest 3 weeks prior to departure and the amount already settled will be restituted.
	Edward Bekker does not accept claims for investments already done, like flight reservations, acquisition of equipment, costs of insurances etc.
	
FORCE MAJEURE
In case of force majeure like war, terrorism, strike or difficulties in transportation which influence the activities of Edward Bekker Ski & Alpinisme, reservations can be cancelled without right for claims.

TRAVEL INFORMATION
You will receive the specific travel information like names of participants, information on the meeting point and place, necessary equipment etc. at the latest 10 days prior to departure by e-mail.

MEMBERSHIPS
Participants who are not member to one of the national alpine or mountaineering clubs, need to pay an extra supplement in the mountain huts owned by one of the mountaineering clubs.

WARNING: EXTRA HIGH RISK IN THE MOUNTAINS
Alpine activities like skiing, snowboarding, hiking, touring, mountaineering, rock climbing, ice climbing, mountain biking, trekking, glacier travel and other mountain activities are exposed to high risks, dangers and hazards like avalanches, crevasses, cliffs, rock fall, variable and difficult snow- and weather conditions, effects of high altitude including pulmonary and cerebral edema, frostbite, equipment failure and encounters with domestic and wild animals, which can, although being accompanied by mountain guides who try to reduce the risks, not be completely  excluded. Participants accept the above mentioned risks and waive any and all claims that they have against Edward Bekker Ski & Alpinisme for loss, damage or injury including death that participants may suffer.

PROGRAMME:
YOUR MOUNTAINGUIDE IS RESPONSIBLE
Safety of the itinerary may be strongly influenced by weather (danger for avalanches, rock fall etc.) which force the guide to change the original planned itinerary for the safety of the participants. Guides also reserve the rights to exclude one or more of the participants in case mental or physical problems appear during the trip / journey which may affect further continuation of the trip / journey. In this case, Edward Bekker Ski & Alpinisme will not accept claims for restitution or extra charges.
LIABILITY
Edward Bekker Ski & Alpinisme will not accept claims for any loss, damage, expense or injury including death of participants nor it will accept liability for  accommodations including hotels, huts, airplanes, and other means of transportation., nor equipment like ski equipment and mountaineering equipment, nor claims for the results of delay, natural disasters (e.g. avalanches), boarder crossings, transportation problems, strike, war, illness or other causes.

ACCOMMODATION 
In general, you will be staying in huts in dormitory’s and in hotels in 2- and 3-bed rooms. In case you are joining us on your own, we will try to have you share a room with somebody of your own sexe. This is unfortunately not always possible and a small supplement will in this case be charged.
